This was a seriously fun day out. You can just tell that there was never a dull moment with Ness and Giles around! I enjoyed every moment of seeing Ness and Giles making their wedding vows to one another – again full of laughter and fun. I know this is not a wedding or a beautiful bride… but still this is a pretty bird and worth a look!!! I came across this gorgeous toucan whilst cycling with my husband in Central America. I can never resist a portrait and this little fella was just stunning. How toucans can fly with a bill that big.. defies me!

Here is the lovely Steph making those final touches before her wedding ceremony at Polhawn Fort yesterday. Her beautiful Celtic dress was handmade by a friend for her special day – now that is what I call a good friend! I personally loved the intricate gold head chain that fell in Steph’s curls. A lovely touch! More photos to follow once I find time to edit! Polhawn Fort was a tricky venue to take photos in because the lighting was very dim. Thank goodness for my fancy lens that allowed me to take most photos without using any harsh flash. I always prefer to take photos without flash, if I can and use the natural lighting available as the final effect is more flattering and softer.

The attention to detail at this wedding was exceptional. What an amazingly well organised wedding – from the; accessories, dresses, shoes, flowers, venue and marquee. Completely a photographers paradise!! Even my camera batteries ran out by the end of the twelve hours of taking non stop photographs. Still… I would love to do it all over again!!

I just loved Amy to pieces. What a lovely lovely girl. She was young and fun as you can see by her stunning choice of pink and fluffy!! A real princess. I just loved the vibrant pink for the photographs – the pink looks truly amazing.

Ruth and Nick were completely blessed on their wedding day in many, many ways – even the sun shone for them all day long! We took time before the reception meal at the Porthminster Hotel to stroll along the Porthminster Beach and catch a bit of quiet time. It was just them and a few tourists soaking up the sun!!

As always there is something to do and this week I needed to come out of the closet and reveal that I love flowers!!! I have been studying floristry at Duchy College for a couple of months now and I am just loving it. My aim is to combine my wedding photography and wedding flower skills together. Here is a flyer that I designed today to take with me to the Chic Wedding Fair on Sunday 23rd Oct at Seiners Hotel in Perranporth. I will be offering brides to be the wonderful opportunity of having their wedding flowers designed for their special day at cost price. What I love about his job is where it takes you! I have never been down to Polhawn Fort which lies just on the tip of the Cornish Coast between South Devon and Cornwall. It is a stunning Napoleonic Fort with endless views along the South Coast of Cornwall. This is the dream location that Steff and Graeme have chosen for their wedding next year. I must remember on the day of their wedding not to use my “sat nav”, or I could be stuck up a bridal path again!! Steff and Graeme plan to have a mad hatters tea party inbetween their ceremony and reception – should make for some colourful photos. We will also head down to the private beach for those romantic moment shots – just the two of them. Should be fun!!
